The CRM Asia Solutions blog contains the latest Zoho news and useful tips and tricks for the full suite of Zoho online business solutions
Zoho Reports allows you to change data types during or after data import. For example, date formats, which are often tricky and inconsistent may be exported as text in one application, but can be quickly converted to the format you require in Zoho Reports.
You can follow the below steps to change the column to Date type:
- Open the base table on which you have created the view.
- Right click on the Closing Date column and select Change Datatype menu item.
- In the data type wizard, change the Datatype from Plain Text to Date in the dialogue.
- To choose your own date format, click on the Choose Format button and select the required format and click OK.
- Now open your view and the field is defined as a date type.
From there you can define User Filters (new feature) and add date ranges such as from / to dates, general date ranges (last month, last quarter etc), or specific date filters.
