Joomla Website, Zoho CRM Integration and Email Marketing Thailand - Steves English Zone

Steve's English Zone is an extensive English language resources website, well known by teachers and students in Thailand. Steve wanted an affordable website design, with a CMS that he could use to maintain the site himself. In addition he wanted a CRM to use to store contact information of his students, parents, colleagues and also his followers from the website so that he could segment and carry out mass mailing campaigns.

Steve, a former member of the British Army, now a language instructor in a university in the North East of Thailand and writer for the Bangkok Post, wanted an inexpensive, basic website to provide information on English language communication for both teachers and students.

He wanted a backend Content Management System (CMS) to allow him to make updates himself and a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool which provided effective contact / vendor / partner management and segmentation, mass mailing functionality for newsletters and announcements as well as development of a teacher knowledgebase for use by teachers/students.


CRM Asia Solutions were consulted on the software, carried out the website setup using Joomla, the award-winning content management system (CMS), enabling the Steve’s English Zone web site to be quickly developed, including all of the powerful online application requirements.

CRM Asia Solutions’ CRM Starter Package was also selected which included the:

  • Implementation of centralized calendaring and tasks management.
  • Implementation of automated workflow and notification triggers.

Specific emphasis on the use of Zoho CRM’s Solutions functionality in order to develop the knowledge base for teachers and students.

Importantly, students can now access their homework assignments online and catch up on their class-work, even when they have been absent from class.

Management and administration tasks are now managed more efficiently, and students and teachers are regularly communicated with through Steve English Zone’s newsletters.
